Prayer and Fast in May

Dear Purple Company

We are in days of battle like never before BUT GOD is giving us strategies for the tearing down of strongholds. Hallelujah!

We are feeling the press of God in these weeks and days to raise our voices and our prayer corporately and alone in the secret place about the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our nation! The Kingship, the rule, and government of the King of Kings.

This is not a unique prayer to this time but it is especially needed to be raised over our nation during the celebration of Ramadan, the Islamic holy festival which begins this Sunday evening at sundown, 5th May 2019.

A number of lead Prophets and Watchmen are agreeing that May is a key month for warfare prayer and fasting. He is speaking this word to us from Psalm 112 at this time:-

Psalm 112

He will not fear evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is upheld, he will not fear,
Until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries.
9 [h]He has given freely to the poor,
His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted in honor.

10 The wicked will see it and be [i]vexed,
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked will perish.

These are the days you were made for!

The Spirit of the Lord has been speaking to a number of lead prophets/watchmen in the UK in this past week or so regarding an enemy strategy to attack our nation and our capital city of London. Both Emma and I have had words personally and God had me awake in the night and praying into this earlier in the week. There is a sense that some of this will be economic/potential cyber and sea-port attack but also strong agreement that the violent Islamic spirit is readying again to attack London/UK with a blood thirsty violence.

Sunday sundown May 5th is the start of Ramadan throughout the world – a celebration and period of fasting to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief.This annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Fasting takes place after a 4am ‘dawn’ meal with pray and ‘break fast’ meal at sundown with prayer. No food, alcohol, smoking, sexual relations and sinful behaviour including offense speech may take place during the fast time and no fighting except in self-defence.

This fast and celebration takes place in the 9th month of the Islamic Calendar and as such we need to pray specifically in this year of birthing – everything the enemy plans to birth through this fast/call to prayer to allah will bear no fruit and nothing will be successfully birthed associated with Islam, or spirits associated/linked.

This is especially key in this ‘year of birthing’ and key of 5779 Hebrew calendar and 9 being a year of the womb of nations and the birthing of Godly and ungodly in this year. It’s our job as intercessors to pray in the Godly birthing and stop the ungodly birthing. Please pray as you are being led by the Lord and agree that all assignments of the evil one will come to nought in the UK/London – and you may feel this is a relevant word for your nation too and pray accordingly as the Lord leads you.

A specific prophetic word God gave me yesterday was:

‘We are entering into the days of corporate fasting – co-ordinated, purposeful fasting and prayer to deal with unearthing the demonic strongholds and going deeper with God. Repetitive, focused fasting of days in repeat not odd one-off days.

DETERMINED RENEWED REPETITIVE FASTING.’

So with confirmation by this word we are applying this call to fast to this particular prayer alert and fasting intensely for the first three days of Ramadan – Sunday May 5th sundown through to Wednesday 8th May sundown and then a lighter fast as God leads individuals through to Ramadan’s completion on Tuesday June 4th sundown.

Monday nights in our House of Prayer 6pm-9pm will be our (GPC Purple Company Glasgow) main prayer time on this and we will have some night watch calls as God has said night watches are key for this assignment.

PRAYER FOCUS WILL INCLUDE:-

• Decreeing the Lordship of Jesus daily – calling forth righteous birthing for the nation
• Binding and stopping any ungodly birthing as God leads throughout the time of prayer focus.
• Dealing with the Islamic foundations in our nation by repenting for giving the Islamic spirit land and therefore authority
• Seeking God by waiting on Holy Spirit’s leading for key locations and prayer strategy as we move through the period.
